Facilities Management Trusted By
Dental Practice Cleaning Service Built Around Your Surgery
Your dental practice is judged on its cleanliness as well as its care. Poor cleaning raises infection risks for patients and staff, and dusty reception desks create the wrong first impression before patients have even sat down.
Our dental office cleaning service keeps a hygienic environment across all the rooms around your clinical work, from treatment rooms, decontamination rooms, waiting rooms and washrooms to staff spaces.
We start with a walk through of your practice. From there, we create a bespoke cleaning plan setting out every task by room and how often it needs doing. Your cleaning team follows those strict cleaning protocols outside your surgery hours to avoid disruption, back by our wider medical and healthcare cleaning and contract cleaning services.
Your clinical staff can be free to focus on patient care instead of stressing about cleaning after your last appointment.
Clinical Rooms Maintained In Line With Guidance
The Department of Health guidance on decontamination in primary care dental practices sets the standard your dental surgery is inspected against. Our cleaners organise jobs from the least contaminated areas to the most contaminated so your highest-risk space is always cleaned last, with its own equipment.
Floors, work surfaces, sinks, cabinet fronts and high touch surfaces like light switches and door handles are cleaned and disinfected with EN-tested disinfectants. Decontaminating dental instruments and wiping down dental chairs remain your team’s responsibility in line with guidance, but we’ll confirm roles during your initial assessment.
Documented Cleaning Practices Ready For CQC Inspection
CQC inspectors assess your dental practice’s cleanliness against five key CQC standards and they’ll look for evidence that cleaning is happening as planned. Every dental practice cleaning contract includes all records and checks that give you the right evidence and support your regulatory standards:
- A room-by-room cleaning schedule, agreed with you and kept on site for inspection
- Signed cleaning logs completed at each visit, showing which surfaces were cleaned and when
- Washroom checks recorded at every visit, with any maintenance issues reported to a practice contact
- Quality audits by your account manager with reports and follow on actions shared in writing
- Site-specific risk assessments, reviewed whenever your layout or treatment services change
- A written response to every audit finding, so issues are closed well before your next inspection
COSHH Controls Against Cross Contamination
Cross contamination is the main hygiene issue in any healthcare cleaning. Our teams follow the national colour coded systems, used in the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness.
Each colour has its own cloths, mops and buckets, and mop heads are changed between rooms. This keeps equipment used in your washrooms out of surgery spaces, protecting patient safety and your infection control record.
Every cleaning product we bring on site has a COSHH assessment and safety data sheet with any products left on site stored safely away from patients. High touch points in reception and washrooms are disinfected at every visit. Daytime checks can be added where high-touch areas need cleaning more than once a day.
Communal Areas And Surgeries Cleaned Around Patient Hours
We plan all visits around surgery hours, so patients never share a waiting room with a mop and bucket. Your practice can open every day without you worrying that dirt has been left from the day before. As standard, our teams will:
- Clean before your first appointment or after your last, including evening and weekend visits
- Vacuum and wet-mop floors in waiting areas, reception and corridors at every visit
- Wipe high touch surfaces in waiting rooms, including chairs, door handles and light switches
- Fully clean all washrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, dispensers and sanitary bin exteriors
- Empty general waste and move sealed clinical waste to your agreed collection point
- Add deep cleans of hard to reach areas at intervals agreed in your plan, through our specialist cleaning service
