All of our officers are fully licensed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA), and have been vetted and screened in line with BS:7858 for a minimum of five years. They’ll also have extensive site- and system-specific training, so they’re able to address any issues quickly and effectively.
We’re a fully nationwide business, meaning we’re able to deliver expert alarm response services wherever you are. We currently deliver alarm response services as far north as Inverness, down to England’s south coast.
No. For full transparency, we only offer commercial or business alarm response services due to differences in insurance requirements – these include industrial sites, office blocks, and more. We would advise looking at alternative measures, such as electronic security (CCTV installation or access controls, for example) or more physical measures (such as additional locks or upgraded doors and windows). Standard household burglar alarms don’t always offer an immediate response, but they can be enough to keep potential threats to your home away.
Our officers follow clear alarm verification procedures on every activation. When an alarm triggers, our National Operations Centre assesses the signal, and the attending officer carries out a thorough inspection of your site on arrival to establish whether there’s a genuine threat. This allows us to distinguish real emergencies from false activations quickly, so a genuine incident is escalated to the emergency services without delay, while a false alarm is resolved and reset with minimal disruption to your business.
Yes. In England and Wales, the police only respond to alarm systems that meet the required NPCC (National Police Chiefs’ Council) policing standards, and alarms installed since June 2019 must comply with PD 6662:2017. Systems are also expected to be fitted by an NSI Gold or Silver approved installer to gain police response. As an NSI Gold approved provider, ProFM can respond in line with these requirements and act as your professional keyholder and first responder, helping ensure activations are handled compliantly.
