Still got a Question?Yes. When it comes to site security, it’s always good to be protected in advance, but we know that emergencies can and do happen. We’re able to deliver a manned guarding solution (usually in place when an alarm system breaks, technology fails, or there’s a pressing concern around ongoing criminal issues) on the same day in the majority of circumstances, and always with that signature ProFM Group quality.
While we know that Birmingham has its fair share of local companies, we feel we go a step above them. While our National Operations Centre (NOC) is at our HQ in Lancashire, we only utilise local, Birmingham-based security professionals for our on-the-ground work, alongside a dedicated Operations Manager for the area. It’s a model that works exceptionally well and allows us to scale alongside you as you grow (something we’ve already been able to do for the nationally renowned Hotel Chocolat).
It also means we’ve got extensive external accreditation, which is often a cut above what smaller, local firms can provide, including Constructionline Gold, SafeContractor, ISO9001, and a place among the top 0.1% of all security providers on the SIA’s Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS).
As one of the UK’s largest and most influential cities, we’re proud to have supported with extensive and professional solutions for security. That ranges from temporary security technology for a large-scale construction site in Aston (including solar-powered CCTV cameras), to manned guarding support for leading energy provider FloGas in Castle Bromwich. We’ve also built a strong partnership with Hotel Chocolat, providing ad-hoc security for their flagship on New Street.
We can. Our canine handling officers are fully qualified to at least Level 2 under the National Association of Security Dog Users (NASDU) scheme, alongside full SIA licensing to ensure complete compliance. They’re completely self-sufficient, too, meaning they’re ideal if you’re operating a site with no infrastructure or power.
However, while they’re an excellent deterrent, we’d only recommend them for more remote sites (construction projects at Perry Barr, for example), or those that have experienced previous or persistent issues with criminals, trespassing or deliberate damage.
Our main way of supporting Birmingham with its fluctuating crime rate is through our rapid response times and expertly trained security officers, all of whom are on hand to support around the clock.
While we don’t directly connect with Birmingham’s local policing teams, we maintain a strong working relationship with the West Midlands Police and can provide detailed reports on any criminal incidents. We also use real-time information on key policing priorities (such as rising rates of robbery in the City Centre) to ensure our officers can support those initiatives.
Our average officer-on-site response time across Birmingham is 30 minutes. That means that, from the moment an issue is detected (through an intruder alarm or CCTV camera, for example) to an officer on site to address those issues, we’re there within half an hour. This does depend on traffic conditions, but our network of officers means we’re able to mobilise as rapidly and effectively as possible.
