MedExpress’s challenges are, as one might expect, very different to most more conventional manufacturing premises. Prescription (and some non-prescription) medication is subject to understandably strict health and safety regulations, and that’s naturally going to be of the utmost concern.

Security and safety at a facility as prestigious as MedExpress’s need to not just match but exceed those demands. The pharmaceutical industry is at particular risk, especially given the heightened risk of corporate espionage and the substantial black market for prescription medications. There’s also the isolated nature of the site to consider, which makes it a target for organised criminals.

We quickly arrived at the need for a 24-hour security presence – a must-have for any site that operates on a schedule like MedExpress’s. A round-the-clock, trusted security presence not only offers the reassurance that the site’s staff needs, but also a strong deterrent to any would-be criminals.

It also ensures that our officers are on hand for any late-night deliveries or early morning departures, and can act accordingly. With our officers outfitted in corporate attire to match the gravitas of the facility, we were also able to maintain the image that MedExpress have sought to cultivate with their business.

The Result

Since being chosen to fulfil MedExpress’s security requirements in late 2024, we’ve deployed exceptional, 24/7 security for the entirety of their Leamington Spa-based manufacturing plant. Our officers have quickly become part of the site’s day-to-day operations, offering that always-available presence a plant of this nature demands.
