A deep dive into our expert security services for Dennis Eagle, a nationally-renowned leader in refuse collection and a pioneer in the UK’s waste infrastructure.
As one of the major leaders in domestic and commercial refuse collection, Dennis Eagle has quickly become an iconic, immediately recognisable brand on Britain’s roads. Their trucks and bin lifts characterise a truly modernised approach to British waste disposal infrastructure, and with their latest innovations, they seek to take that to new heights.
Now under the Terberg Environmental group, Dennis Eagle are coupling that unparalleled expertise in waste with sustainability, and especially so with the advent of their all-electric refuse collection vehicles. From there, they’ve sought to pave the way for a bright, eco-conscious future for the UK’s waste infrastructure.
That’s never at the detriment of safety, either. It’s become abundantly clear that Dennis Eagle and their trailblazing bin lorries aren’t compromising on the features our waste collectors need to do their jobs effectively, and as we progress to a brighter tomorrow, they’re setting the standard for what we can expect.
With their state-of-the-art facility in the South Shore area of coastal Blackpool, Dennis Eagle had managed to secure a sought-after spot close to the Blackpool & Fylde Industrial Estate. However, while that placed that among the hustle and bustle of similar businesses, and close to the M55, it also made the premises vulnerable to criminality, especially organised crime.
The Blackpool area has historically grappled with some of the highest crime rates in the North West, and the latest figures only corroborate that. Climbing figures in antisocial behaviour, criminal damage and vehicle crimes all underscore the concerns across the region, as well as for the residential area that surrounds the facility.
There’s also the ever-present threat of employee theft and corporate espionage. With high-value projects and emerging technologies stored on-site, there’s an inherent danger of people stealing the valuable materials and intellectual property. All of that compounds to create a concerningly comprehensive range of both external and internal threats.
With a range of issues facing the site and understandably complex security requirements, ProFM were quick to spring into action. That began with a complete site security audit, ensuring that we weren’t just fully familiar with their security requirements, but that we could start to formulate a solution as robust and progressive as the site itself.
Our first identification was for a consistent surveillance and monitoring solution for the site. CCTV is a mainstay of the modern security sector, but without the right controls, it can lose its impetus. We took that with utmost seriousness, offering 24/7 monitoring with our expert Control Room.
That came alongside two of our most in-demand services – Key Holding and Alarm Response, as well as a Locking and Unlocking service throughout the week. These not only form a backbone for an effective security solution, they’re also the ideal synergy for such a busy site.
Since getting started with our client back in 2017, ProFM have consistently been on hand to offer that consistent, uninterrupted security presence. Our 24-hour Control Room offers the comprehensive oversight and immediate action that a site as valuable as Dennis Eagle demands.
We’re consistently seeking to improve the options we offer, and with Dennis Eagle, we’ve built a strong relationship that sees us make regular visits alongside our monitoring, locking and unlocking, and key holding services.
It’s opportunities like these that mean so much to us here at ProFM. Dennis Eagle’s commitment to environmentalism and sustainability aligns so closely with our own, and this partnership is one that’s only set to flourish as we head toward a brighter tomorrow.
