About the client:
Based in Shotton, Deeside, our client is a well-established Medical Facility. Known for providing high standards of patient care in a friendly and professional environment, the practice plays an important role in supporting the healthcare needs of the surrounding area.
Due to continued requirements, they are now seeking a reliable and conscientious Cleaning Operative to join the team. The successful candidate will help ensure the practice remains clean, safe and hygienic for patients, visitors and staff, contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of this busy healthcare setting.
Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday: 17:00 – 19:00, a total of 10 hours per week
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out cleaning duties to a high standard throughout the healthcare facility.
- Clean and sanitise clinical rooms, waiting areas, reception areas, offices, corridors, and communal spaces.
- Maintain washrooms, ensuring they are clean, hygienic, and fully stocked.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with site procedures.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish designated areas.
- Follow all health & safety, COSHH, and infection control procedures.
- Replenish consumables such as soap, hand towels, and toilet tissue as required.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or low stock levels to the appropriate person.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly after use.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role
- Strong understanding of CQC Standards (Desirable)
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
