About the client:
Our client is a leading provider of specialist healthcare services, dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care in a professional, safe, and welcoming environment. With a strong reputation for excellence, they are committed to maintaining the highest standards across their facilities to ensure a positive experience for patients, visitors, and staff alike.
An opportunity has arisen for a Cleaning Operative to join the team, playing a key role in ensuring the site remains clean, hygienic, and presented to an exceptional standard. The successful candidate will help create a safe and comfortable environment by maintaining clinical and non-clinical areas in line with strict cleanliness and infection control procedures.
Hours of work:
Monday – Friday working between the hours of 18:00 – 20:00
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and sanitising clinical rooms, consultation rooms and treatment areas in accordance with infection prevention and control standards.
- Cleaning waiting areas, reception areas, offices, staff rooms and communal facilities to a high standard.
- Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping and dusting throughout the practice to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
- Cleaning toilets, washrooms and welfare facilities, including replenishing soap, hand towels and toilet rolls.
- Disinfecting high-touch surfaces such as door handles, desks, chairs, light switches and clinical equipment as instructed.
- Emptying clinical and general waste bins and disposing of waste in accordance with site procedures and healthcare regulations.
- Following all COSHH, Health & Safety, infection control and cleaning protocols at all times.
- Reporting maintenance issues, health and safety concerns, damaged equipment or stock shortages to management.
- Ensuring cleaning equipment and materials are used safely, maintained correctly and stored securely after use.
- Supporting the provision of a clean, safe and hygienic environment for patients, visitors and healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience is essential
- Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Reliable, punctual and able to manage workload effectively within allocated timescales.
- Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual cleaning duties, including floor polishing and machine operation.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to providing a clean, safe and welcoming environment for visitors and staff.
