Access controls usually refer to the physical and digital measures you have in place to protect sensitive information, off-limits or staff-only areas, or high-risk premises (like production lines or laboratories). It encompasses:
Access controls that use facial recognition have two settings: capture and recognition. In set-up mode, they’ll capture an image (through the device’s camera) and store that image on a cloud-based database. In recognition mode, the camera will scan the user’s face and search for a match in that database, before unlocking for an authorised user.
