About our client:

Our client builds tough, reliable computer systems that are designed to keep working even in the harshest conditions—whether that’s extreme temperatures, vibrations, or remote locations. They are now looking for a Security Officer to join their team and help protect the people, assets, and systems that keep their operations running smoothly.

 

Working Hours:
Saturday – Sunday between the hours of 06:00 – 18:00, a total of 24 hours per week.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the security of the premises, including conducting regular patrols.
  • Allow authorised persons in of the approved list.
  • Handle access control procedures, verifying identification, and issuing visitor passes.
  • Switch on production lines following the production rota including boiler
  • Winter months to put grit down on small area of path ways.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to all security incidents, including alarms, emergencies, and potential threats.
  • Report any suspicious activities, hazards, or violations of security protocols to the appropriate authorities.
  • Follow production rota of certain production lines are required to be switched on in mornings.
  • Fire watch including response to sprinkler system alarm.
  • Assist with emergency procedures and evacuation protocols, ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, security checks, and any relevant information.
  • Collaborate with the wider security team and other departments to uphold a safe and secure environment

 

Requirements:

  • A valid SIA Front Line Licence is essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar security role is desired but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail, ensuring all security protocols are followed.
  • A proactive and vigilant approach to security, with the ability to assess and respond to potential risks.
  • A professional and customer-oriented mindset, dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
