About the client:

Our client is a business dedicated to those experiencing homelessness. Their vision is to make sure that nobody in the Harrogate District has to sleep rough, and that the necessary support is given to allow those to move towards independent living.

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday 06:00-10:00, this totals 20 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly disinfect and sanitise offices, surfaces, and shared rooms.
• Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
• Clean and sanitise public areas like waiting rooms, offices, restrooms, and corridors.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in patient and public areas.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and functional.
• Communicate maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
• Keep accurate records of cleaning activities for compliance.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using PPE as needed.
• Respond to emergency cleaning situations effectively.
• Collaborate with on site staff for a clean environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
• Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
