There are two primary types of CCTV available for sites across the UK – static CCTV and mobile monitoring. While these can be deployed at most premises, you’ll need to know a few key specifics about your site to ensure you opt for the right solution. Here’s a brief overview:

• Static CCTV, such as larger towers, wall-mounted units, or PTZ cameras, are usually recommended for more permanent sites, or those that are likely to be occupied for longer periods (i.e., more than a year). That includes office buildings, healthcare facilities, manufacturing sites, and most retailers.
• Mobile CCTV encompasses more portable, but no less robust, monitoring solutions. This includes V-POD CCTV systems, solar-powered towers, and detachable units designed for scaffolding and temporary structures. We’d advise mobile CCTV for properties that have a short occupation time, or that are likely to change in a shorter space of time (i.e., less than a year). Common examples include construction sites, vacant properties, energy projects, and remote buildings.
