We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a motivated and detail-focused individual to begin a career with ProFM Group as a Junior Bid Writer.

The role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is confident engaging with others to gather insights, plan responses, and shape compelling narratives. Working as part of a supportive Sales and Marketing team, you’ll play a key role in producing persuasive, high-quality written content for bids and proposals across a variety of sectors. That’s all in line with achieving our ambitious growth targets and expanding our client base.

You’ll need excellent writing skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to adapt your tone and messaging for different audiences. Prior experience in working with B2B communications would be ideal, but isn’t a necessity for this position.

This is more than just a writing role; it’s a chance to contribute to the development of creative, customer-focused solutions in collaboration with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders.

  • Proactively using AI tools and software to support response development and content refinement.
  • Support the creation of case studies and model answers for the bid library during quieter bid periods.
  • Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders, keeping them informed of bid progress and outcomes, and actively engaging with vendors to secure favourable terms and costs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance our bid processes, driving innovation in our approach to security service bidding.
  • Assist with ad-hoc creative copywriting tasks where required.

Your Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in copywriting is preferable, but mindset and drive are key.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • A degree in English Language/Literature or Creative Writing would be advantageous.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with attention to detail, and a genuine interest in the subject matter.
  • Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working to deadlines, sometimes at short notice.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism, with the ability to understand briefs effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
  • Good project management and organisational skills, allowing you to efficiently manage multiple bid opportunities simultaneously, all while still adhering to deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential in effectively collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
  • Able to take feedback constructively and adapt quickly.

What we can offer in return:

  • Great company culture
  • Supportive environment, including a leading Mental Health Programme
  • 28 days of annual leave
